YouthCare’s 32nd Annual Luncheon

Every night in Seattle, nearly 1,000 young people will have no safe place to sleep. Being in survival mode leads them to seek shelter in parks, abandoned buildings, bus stops, or hunkered down under a bridge. Each youth is trying to stay dry, avoid danger, and preserve a little hope that tomorrow will be better.

Since 1974, YouthCare has worked to get homeless youth off the streets and preparing for life. YouthCare’s unique “continuum of care” model provides Seattle’s homeless young people with services, support, and resources including prevention, outreach and basic services, emergency shelter and transitional housing, education, and employment training. This year, YouthCare expands their reach with new housing in the University District with the Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) and welcoming the University District Youth Center (UDYC) as a new program site.

Because I believe that every young person deserves a strong platform and tools for success, I ask you to join me at YouthCare’s 31st Annual Luncheon on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at The Westin Seattle from noon to 1:00pm.

At YouthCare’s Luncheon, you’ll hear stories of transformation from youth and learn about the critical services YouthCare provides to our community’s homeless young people.
